Le tournoi de l'union des fédérations ouest africaines de football, UFOA, zone B, qui a lieu actuellement au Ghana a connu ce mercredi 15 juin 2022, la deuxième sortie des éléphanteaux de Côte d'Ivoire face au Niger. Après leur défaite face aux écureuils du Bénin, les éléphanteaux avaient le dos au mur en affrontant les nigériens.
Très déterminés à se repositionner dans la compétition, les poulains de Gouaméné Maxime ont su réagir de la plus belle des manières en écrasant l'équipe du Niger sur le score de six buts contre un (6 - 1). Cette victoire a été acquise à la première période où les ivoiriens ont inscrit cinq buts avant d'alourdir le score à la seconde période portant le nombre total de buts à six.
Yann, l'éléphanteau désigné homme du match.
Cette belle prestation a été couronnée par la désignation du jeune Yann comme l'homme du match. La rencontre du samedi 18 juin prochain face aux étalons du Burkina Faso s'annonce décisive car elle situera les ivoiriens sur leur avenir dans cette compétition des U17.
