Dès les premières heures du soulèvement militaire au Burkina Faso qui a abouti ce Lundi 24 Janvier à la chute du régime du président Rock Marc Christian Kaboré, des rumeurs ont vite fait de circuler sur une éventuelle libération du Général Gilbert Diendere, ex commandant du Régime de Sécurité Présidentiel (RSP) et fidèle de l'ancien président, Blaise Compaoré. Il n'en est rien, rassurait ce Mercredi 26 Janvier le parquet militaire à Ouagadougou, dans un communiqué.
"Le parquet dément formellement cette allégation et rassure l'opinion nationale et internationale que le Général Gilbert Diendere est toujours détenu à la Maison d’Arrêt et de Correction des Armées (MACA) et qu'aucun détenu n'a été libéré", indiquait-t-on du côté de la justice militaire.
"Par ailleurs", souligne le parquet, "le procès du dossier Thomas Sankara est suspendu en raison des événements survenuse 23 Janvier 2022 et jours suivants. L'audience reprendra le Lundi 31 Janvier 2022 à 09 heures".
