Selon le célèbre média l'Équipe, les dirigeants du champion de France ont entamé depuis peu des discussions avec Lens et le joueur dans le but de le faire venir dans la capitale. Pour laisser filer leur capitaine, les dirigeants du Racing Club de Lens souhaiteraient vivement que le montant de la transaction soit compris entre 30 à 40 millions d'euros.
