De nombreux détenus se seraient évadés ce lundi 05 avril d'une prison à Imo (État du Nigéria), suite à une attaque d'hommes armés non identifiés.
Ce lundi 05 avril, des hommes armés non identifiés ont, dès les premières heures, pris d'assaut un établissement correctionnel et un service des enquêtes policières à Owerri, dans l'État d'Imo, en y mettant le feu.
Selon des informations circulant actuellement sur certains médias et réseaux sociaux, les assaillants auraient frappé la prison et le service de police peu après minuit, libérant un nombre pas encore confirmé de détenus et de suspects.

Il y a eu de violents échanges de coups de feu entre les assaillants et les agents de sécurité de la prison qui tentaient de les repousser. On ne sait pas ce qui s'est passé, mais les comptes de médias sociaux suggèrent que des milliers de détenus se seraient échappés lors de cette attaque soudaine.
