Dans un communiqué rendu public dont une copie nous est parvenu le lundi 17 janvier 2022, le Bureau d’Information et de Presse des Armées (Bipa) fait savoir à l’opinion nationale que "des survols d’aéronefs militaires seront observés entre Abidjan et Jacqueville"" dans la journée et dans la nuit du mardi 18 janvier 2022.
"Il s’agit d’un entraînement des Forces Armées de Côte d’Ivoire et du Commandement Américain des Opérations Spéciales pour l’Afrique. Il est réalisé en prélude à un exercice militaire multinational qui se tiendra sur le site de l’Académie Internationale de Lutte Contre le Terrorisme en février prochain", rassure le Bipa dans ledit communiqué.
En tout état de cause, "Le Bureau d’Information et de Presse des Armées rassure les populations que ces mouvements d’aéronefs ne perturberont pas leurs activités et les invite par conséquent à continuer de vaquer à leurs occupations", a conclu le communiqué signé du chef du Bipa.
