Dr Zanetor avec son père feu le Président Jerry Rawlings
Dr Zanetor Agyeman-Rawlings a été réélue députée ddans la circonscription de Korle Klottey (Région Greater Accra) avec 39,193 voix. Elle a battu son concurrent le plus proche du nouveau parti patriotique, le prince Appiah Debrah, qui a réussi à obtenir 31 239 voix. Fille aînée de l'ex-président du Ghana John Jerry Rawlings, elle était candidate pour le compte du National democratic congres(NDC), le parti créé par son père décédé le 12 novembre.
La famille Rawlings est une famille de politique. Nana Konadu Agyeman Rawlings, l'ex-première dame est aussi une femme politique. Elle a commencé à militer dans le parti créé par son époux. Mais en 2012, elle a créé son propre parti, le National democratic parti(NDP). Elle s'était d'abord declarée candidate à la presidentielle qui a eu lieu hier. Mais suite au décès de son époux, elle s'est désistée.
Dr Zenator Agyeman-Rawlings, âgée aujourd'hui de 42 ans est dans le sillage de son père et de sa mère.
