Plusieurs élèves ont été blessés le lundi 05 novembre 2022 à Touba, après des affrontements entre élèves. Manifestant pour obtenir des congés anticipés pour les fêtes de fin d’année au lieu d’attendre les dates fixées par le Ministère de l’Education Nationale et de l’Alphabétisation, des dizaines d’élèves issus d’un autre établissement de la ville de Touba et armés de pierres, se seraient attaqués à ceux du Lycée Gouverneur Abdoulaye Fadiga de la même localité.
Dans la bagarre qui s’est déclenchée entre les deux groupes, on dénombre 6 blessés dont 5 filles âgées 13 à 16 ans. Les pompiers civils alertés par les autorités éducatives du lycée attaqué, sont ensuite intervenus pour porter assistance aux victimes dont certaines présentaient des éraflures aux membres et d’autres de blessures au visage ou ayant piqué des crises d'asthme.
Les secours les ont ensuite conduites au Centre Hospitalier Régional de Touba après leur prise en charge.
