De son nom complet Mohamed Nbalie Kamara, il nait le 29 avril 1999 en Sierra Leone. Évoluant au poste de gardien de but et âgé d'à peine 22 ans, le dernier rempart sierra leonais est un footballeur évoluant dans le championnat local au sein du club East End Lions dans la capitale Freetown depuis 2019.
Mohamed Kamara arrive en sélection en 2018 alors âgé de 16 ans. Petit, vivace et puissant, il a honoré dignement sa 10ème sélection grâce à une prestation XXL digne d'un Manuel Neuer face à L'Algérie champion en titre. Avec une bonne lecture de jeu, une anticipation digne des plus grands gardiens, Mohamed Kamara a fait sensation cet après-midi en mettant en déroute les tirs et les passes en profondeur des Fennecs.
Félicité par tous pour sa prestation et son héroïsme, il est élu l'homme du match de cette rencontre et devient du coup l'une des révélations du début de cette CAN.
