Le mercredi 7 octobre 2020, l'équipe de France Football a joué un match amical avec celle de l'Ukraine.
Au-delà du large score qu'a infligé les français aux ukrainiens, 7 à 1, c'est le jeune buteur de 17 ans et 10 mois qui a crevé l'oeil.
Avec son but marqué 
à la 9 ème minute, Edouardo Camavinga devient le plus jeune athlète de l'équipe de France Football a marqué à inscrire un but.
Selon France Football, il devient le deuxième jeune buteur de toute l'histoire du football après Maurice Gastiger, qui a été buteur à 17 ans et 5 mois. Il avait réussi le 8 Mars 1914 contre la Suisse.
Il faut noter que selon wikipédia "Edouardo Camavinga est né le 10 novembre 2002 Né à Miconje dans la province de Cabinda, une enclave angolaise située entre la République démocratique du Congo, la République du Congo et l'Atlantique." .
Eduardo Camavinga est né de parents congolais ayant fui la guerre pour se réfugier en Angola avant de s'installer en France en 2003 avec ses parents.
