La 33 ème édition de la Coupe d'Afrique des Nations 2021 se déroulera du 9 janvier au 6 février 2022 au Cameroun. Cette compétition qui est l'événement sportif le plus médiatisé et suivi du continent africain vera la participation de 24 pays.
Au nombre de ces pays figurent l'Algérie, le champion sortant, la côte d'ivoire éliminée de la coupe du monde au Qatar, le Cameroun, pays organisateur, le Sénégal, finaliste malheureux de l'édition précédente de 2019 en Egypte etc...
Mais ce qui retient le plus notre attention, c'est la coquette somme que va empocher l'équipe vainqueur de cette 33 ème édition de ce tournoi.
Les organisateurs ont mis la barre très haute cette année et ont fait sortir du tiroir la faramineuse somme de 5 millions de dollars US, soit environ deux milliards huit cent quatre vingt cinq millions de francs CFA (2.885.000.000 CFA).
Le premier match de ce tournoi aura lieu le dimanche 9 janvier 2022 à Yaoundé et opposera les lions indomptables du Cameroun aux Etalons du Burkina Faso.
