Contre l’Algérie ce mardi 11 janvier, la Sierra Leone a sorti un match héroïque pour le premier match de la poule E constituée également de la Côte d’Ivoire et de la Guinée Équatoriale. En décrochant le match nul 0-0 contre l’une des équipes les plus en forme du continent, l’inexpérimentée équipe de Sierra Leone a réussi son entrée dans la compétition. C’est surtout grâce à une défense combative et un gardien héroïque que ce résultat a pu être possible.
En effet, Mohamed Kamara le gardien titulaire a sorti un match abouti. Jouant presque comme un libéro, à la manière d’un Neuer. Il a fini le match en tant qu’homme du match. Au moment de recevoir son trophée, le joueur a fondu en larmes. Il y a de quoi être ému puisque sortir des arrêts de grande classe face à des joueurs comme Mahrez, Slimani ou encore Brahimi n’est pas chose aisée.
