Lors de la récente réunion du Comité de Normalisation de la Fédération Ivoirienne de Football, l’une des décisions phares prise par les dirigeants intérimaires du football ivoirien fut le retour de la Super division en Ligue 1 comme c’était le cas dans les années 90.
En effet, prévue le 19 mars prochain, la reprise du championnat de première division se fera sous forme de Super division incluant deux poules de sept équipes dont voici les compositions à l’issue d’un tirage au sort.
Ainsi la Poule A est-elle constituée de : FC San Pedro, ES Bafing, Africa Sport d’Abidjan, Sporting Club de Gagnoa, l’Afad, US Bassam, Asi d’Abengourou.
Ensuite la poule B du Racing Club d’Abidjan, du Stella Club d’Adjamé, de l’Asec Mimosas, de la SOA, de l’AS Tanda, de Bouaké FC et de Sol FC.
Notons qu’ à l’issue des confrontations dans les deux poules, prévue du 20 mars 23 main 2021, une Super Division, regroupant les huit meilleures formations des deux poules, sera organisée du 05 juin au 17 juin 2017 pour désigner le champion et les meilleures équipes du championnat.
